A true hidden gem in Scotland, one of the finest examples of a original 16th century castle, with the finest manicured gardens and a history to match.

The great-grandson of the Auld William the Bruce was married here in 1620 and the Linket of Hearts is believed to have been designed specially for them. You can still see this historic design around the castle grounds today. Mary Queen Of Scotts stayed in the castle, with the bedroom she resided in, still in it’s original form.
